The Ministry of Environmental Protection recently issued the "Announcement on the Publication of the List of Key Air Pollution Reduction Projects for Desulfurization and Denitrification Facilities of National Coal-fired Units" (hereinafter referred to as the "Announcement"). The "Announcement" publicly discloses the list of desulfurization and denitrification facilities for coal-fired units of dozens of enterprises, including state-owned enterprises such as PetroChina and Sinopec.
 
The "Announcement" involves six categories of lists, namely the list of desulfurization facilities for national petrochemical catalytic cracking regeneration flue gas, the list of denitrification facilities for national cement clinker production lines, the list of desulfurization facilities for national steel sintering machines, the list of denitrification facilities for national coal-fired units, and the list of desulfurization facilities for national coal-fired units. These six categories include both state-owned enterprises such as PetroChina, Sinopec, Huaneng, and Datang, as well as local enterprises.
 
The six categories of lists include a total of 4,467 coal-fired desulfurization units nationwide, with a total installed capacity of 750 million kilowatts; 1,135 coal-fired denitrification units, with a total installed capacity of 430 million kilowatts; 526 desulfurization facilities for steel sintering machines, with a total area of 87,000 square meters; 39 desulfurization facilities for steel pellets, with an annual production capacity of 19.39 million tons; 668 denitrification facilities for cement clinker production lines, with an annual production capacity of 720 million tons; and 18 sets of desulfurization facilities for petrochemical catalytic cracking regeneration flue gas, with an annual processing capacity of 31.5 million tons.
